Pressure Washing Gainesville Removes Mold And Mildew

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

The concrete sidewalks and walkways outside our home had gotten black and dirty looking. They also had gotten slippery when they were wet from the mildew on them. Since we were headed into rainy season, I knew it was time to do something about it before anyone fell and got hurt. I called a Pressure Washing Gainesville company to come out and clean the sidewalks and walkways. They did a thorough and professional job. The cement now looks fresh and clean and isn’t slippery anymore.

What Is He Waiting On?

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

I have told my husband several times that we have got to have an exact budget for this job. I am not going to even get started until we have that. He keeps promising that he will get it all taken care of, but I know that he has not gotten the double glazing quote yet. I am really not sure what he is waiting for to tell you the truth. I am about ready to lose it on him.

One Cause of Divorce – Working too Much

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

I was talking to my neighbors this morning and they were telling me that they had just gotten a phone call from their Homewood divorce attorneys. Their divorce was final. This meant that it was time for one of them to move out. I am under the impression that they have not yet decided which one of them is going to leave. After all, they both make enough money to support a household on their own. I told them that I thought this was their problem. The two of them were working way more than they were spending time with one another.

Silly String – Fun, Strange, Dangerous?

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

Most of us probably know silly string as that fun, weird, and somewhat sticky string that comes out of a can. But, are you aware that silly spray is generically known as aerosol string, a flexible substance that is shot from an aerosol can like a stream of water? Or that it’s first name was ‘squibbly’? Did you know that the military actually uses silly string in detecting trip wires? And as of 2006 the United states military troops in Iraq are using it. Did you know that party spray is banned from Hollywood, California from 12 a.m. October 31 to 12 a.m. November 1st?

Imagine an entire 24 hour period where you could get incarcerated for getting caught illegally using silly string. It was also banned in Marlborough, Massachusetts on holidays and in Long Island within 1,500 feet of any parade. Los Angeles is also considering banning the spray, calling it a hazard. Most people would call it a “silly” problem, but when millionaires are dealing with party spray graffiti, it can get just a little frustrating. Plus, silly spray can sometimes damage upholstery and vinyl wallpaper.

Although the spray has its problems, like any other product does, party spray can be one the most enjoyable ways you’ll ever spend an afternoon. You simply have to find the right games to play it with.

Silly spray holds over four-hundred feet of string. One can measured 1600 feet of string. That’s a lot of string to play with. It helps that there are so many game options to choose from. Even if you aren’t going to be playing a game with it, and you just want to be silly, that’s a lot of string for silliness. So, here are some options:

1. War: Yes, warring can be fun when your weapon is silly spray. Each person is given a can of string, you divide into two teams, and begin “fighting.” Once you get ‘shot’, you’re out until someone on your team gets someone on the other team out. The team with no players at the end of the game loses.

2. Silly string art: Get a bunch of cardboard or butcher paper and many different colors of party spray. Have contests to see who can draw (or spray) the best flower, dog, car, tree, etc. Get creative. There is definitely an unexplored treasure of ‘silly’ art.

Now that your awareness about silly string has risen to new heights, get some and go play.

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

When I was eating my breakfast last Monday morning, my mom called me. She said that she had just looked at the email that I had sent her. Before I made my breakfast, I had sent her an email that had pictures of some really nice Chenille Bathrobes. I wanted to know which one she thought I should buy for my friend, Julie. My mom said that she liked all of the robes. She said she thought I should buy Julie the lavender robe, since that is her favorite color.

I Am Just not Happy With The Move This Time

June 30th, 2011 . by admin

I am a little apprehensive about moving. I loved my job, but then they decided that I needed to transfer to another state. I was not really happy with that decision, but if not, then I would have to take a cut in pay. So, here I am, wondering what the typical house move cost in austin might be. I am actually hoping that it is reasonable. I am no trolling in cash these days. Moving is really very expensive.

Composite Decking vs. Hardwood Decking

June 29th, 2011 . by admin

When making a choice between composite decking and hardwood decking, there are several things to consider.  Cost, maintenance, value, and ease of installation are all things to decide when selecting between composite decking and hardwood decking.  While composite decking is durable, pest resistant, low maintenance and easy to install, hardwood decking is versatile, longer lasting, easy to repair over time and if needed, the color of the wood can be changed easily.  Some of the disadvantages of composite decking are: damage from UV exposure, difficulty matching existing pieces with replacement pieces, and scratches are almost impossible to repair.  Over time, composite decking tends to sag or droop, mainly due to lack of internal support.  The color choices are limited to what the manufacturer provides and the colors created during the manufacturing process varies from batch to batch, making it hard to find replacement pieces later. Hardwood has a few disadvantages as well.  Wood rot, pest destruction, warping and irregular grain are all common complaints for hardwood decking.  However, almost each complaint can be avoided by using properly selected and milled hardwoods.  Unlike composite decking, decks made from hardwoods can be painted or stained to match any home or environment.  Installing matching railings and complicated stairways are easier with natural wood as hardwood can be split, notched, and lathed to any desired shape.  Before making a determination as to if composite or hardwood decking would be a better choice, consider the long-range needs of the deck.  A deck made from hardwood will last for centuries when taken care of properly.  As composite woods use recyclable products in their construction, composite wood decking is an excellent environmental choice as well as low maintenance.  Consider all benefits and features of each type of decking when choosing one or the other.

Helping My Friend Pick A Shower Curtain

June 29th, 2011 . by admin

As soon as I got to my friend, Sue’s house last Tuesday morning, she took me into her bathroom. She showed me the two Shower Stall Curtains that she had bought at the mall. Sue said that she just could not decide which one of the curtains to keep. I told Sue that I thought the blue shower curtain with the white clouds looked great with the blue paint on her bathroom walls. She said she would keep the blue curtain.
